THE ATELIER / DURBAN
A human hand.
An individual character.
House of Thingo creates handcrafted wooden furniture, limited collections and commissioned pieces in Durban, South Africa.
READING THE MATERIAL
The detail
is the design.
Our collection brings together crossed panels, slatted cylinders, glass surfaces and exposed plywood edges. The visible grain, knots and connections are part of each piece’s character.
These studio product images offer a closer look at the furniture and its forms.
LIVING TOGETHER
Furniture for
the everyday.
A place to sit, set down a glass, or gather. Explore individual pieces and sets, or begin a conversation about something for your own space.

A seasonal rhythm.
Four edits bring different forms and moods together. Explore Shaka, Dabulamanzi, Ntshingwayo and Cetshwayo to find your starting point.
02 / MATERIAL
Character in the grain.
Wood sits at the centre of our work. Glass, visible edges and contrasting finishes create a conversation between the materials.
03 / COMMISSIONS
Made personal.
Begin with a collection piece or an idea of your own. Share your preferences, then discuss the design and materials with the atelier.
